WHO WE ARE
C
olwall Parish Council was established by the Act of Parliament of 1894, which founded civic parish councils as a tier of local government, and has a rich history. The first meeting of the Parish Council was held in early 1895. Explore this website to read more about the Council’s activities today.
P
arish Council is the first tier of local government and the one closest to you.
Parish Council Members are elected at local level and from amongst the residents of the Parish.
We live alongside you and that is why the things that matter to you are things that matter to us. We are neighbours and residents and we care about local issues and serve to make our parish a better place to live.
Parish Councillors are volunteers who give their time, skills and energy in an effort to improve the area and serve the community. We strive to be proactive, listen to residents and do what lies within the Parish Council powers to improve local issues.

olwall is a large village and civil parish in Herefordshire, situated on the border with Worcestershire. The village nestles on the western side of the Malvern Hills at the heart of the Malvern Hills National Landscape (AONB). Areas of the village known as Colwall Stone, Upper Colwall and Colwall Green spread along 2 miles of the B4218 road, with the historic village core at the parish church being 1 mile to the west of Colwall Stone. The towns of Ledbury and Malvern are 5 miles southwest and 3 miles northeast respectively from Colwall Stone. Colwall is proudly part of “The Malverns”, which refers to the Malvern Hills and the surrounding settlements. At the last Census in 2021 our population was 2372 inhabitants.
